are the youths the leaders of tomorrow ?

what is happening to our educational system? The leaders of today are gambling with the future of tomorrow's leaders. Nigerian youths need a messiah to save us from their traps.

  1. The educational sector of the Nigerian economy has not only suffered in terms of the quality of graduates we turn out yearly from all our public educational institutions but has also suffered massively from brain drain in terms of our brightest minds fleeing to other nations. This is further compounded by the non-challant attitude of the government at all levels to motivate our teaching staff. Also the issue of building classroom blocks without also looking at retrainning our teachers will never lead to any advancement in the sector and indeed the economy if we are to compete in this knowledge- driven global space. I donot think the youth are also doing enough in terms of their own efforts at contributing positively to the betterment of the nation. All hands must be on deck to correct the anomaly

  2. TONY ADIBI WROTE..

The educational sector needs a radical transformation. Our public schools are nothing to write home about. There is no condusive learning environment and no motivation for the teaching staff. The youths from the economically disadvantaged rung of the population ladder are even more affected than their counter-parts from wealthy homes because they are the ones who patronize public schools. The corruption in the education sector is also quite alarming and this has made it difficult for even the meager allocation to the sector translate into any meaningful result. That notwithstanding, i still beleiev that Nigeria is the next frontier of economic, political and social development in the years ahead
