CLIMATE CHANGE: NATURE'S THREAT
Even as world leaders gather in Copenhagen Denmark to deliberate and take decisive steps towards curtailing the threat that greenhouse emissions pose to the earth, i believe it also calls for enlightenment of the populace especially in countries where awareness is very low on the deadly effects of such "LITTLE" things as burning refuse, cooking with firewood, felling of trees without any efforts at planting any, and all such activities that make the earth warmer. Grass root campaign teams should emerge from both the government and civil society groups to help spread the word. It is our collective responsibility to save the earth that God has given us by not engaging in activities that threaten it so we can bequeath a safer earth to future generations

It is all in the news and now is the time for a massive, delibrate and concerted effort by all stakeholders to help curb the threat of climate change on mother earth. Imagine what will happen to Lagos if nothing is done , it will go under the sea because of rising sea level. The threat of acute global food shortage as we are currently will result in the death of millions of children in countries like somalia, Ethiopia, Afghanistan , etc. We have no choice, it is either we reduce cardon emmissions or we stand the chance of been extint in not too distant a time from now.

Climate change has become another threat to international security to all peoples of the world not just the developing world. It has now become imperative that international economic institutions especially World Trade organisation should ratify their policies which evidently exacerbate global warming that is affecting the environment.CO2 emission and gas flaring. Furthermore the Superpowers like The United states of America could also lend some weight in signing and adhering to the Koyoto Protocol.
