We humans can be differentiated from animals and every other living things because of our ability to reason. But within our own class, we still have our unique identities. We can be group as the colour, word or number person.
The colour person is one that can remember the colour of the dress she wore on her first date 20 years ago, or the colour of the underwear that he wore to his graduation ceremony. He can tell you that Johnny his classmate while he was in primary 2 wore a red T-shirt and a short for his sixth year’s birthday celebration. They can tell you the colour you were wearing the first day they met you, the colour of cover page of books that they have read, colour of houses they have visited, cars/buses they boarded. These persons just remember you when it comes to colours. You hear them make comments like ‘’ oh I guess you are Kelly, the lady that wore the purple dress to my cousin’s wedding’’. This group of persons will make good investigating officers if they find themselves with FBI because they take note of physical details.
The word person is like a recorder that takes note of every word that comes out from your mouth. If you were to ask them to remind you on what you discussed with them 8 years ago, they will give you a rundown, word to word. They remember the story lines of novels they have read, movies they seen, the president’s speech they have listened to. In fact, they are good. This group of persons handle careers like newscasters, journalists, and lawyers. In as much as they can save you from troubles, they can also be the major cause of your problems.
The number persons are those that can never give you a wrong estimation. This group of person do not need diary to keep the telephone numbers of acquaintance. I like giving such persons my telephone numbers because I will not have to repeat myself even when there is no pen and paper to take it down. They just remember the numbers and also in the right order. They remember the year their great grandfather was born and the year he died. They don't remember the story line of a novel but they can actually tell you the number of pages in the novel. They remember the number of your house but not the street name. These are our mathematicians!
